Come for the 2022 Annual Celebration – a social evening to meet old friends and new ones as we celebrate the Birmingham Christian Business Network together.

Celebrate with us in-person or on Zoom.

Enjoy light refreshments as we share stories, and information about the last 12 months, and what’s coming up for us at ChaplaincyPlus.

We are delighted to welcome a fantastic guest speaker Dawn Brathwaite to talk on “Increasing Diversity in the Workplace.”

INCREASING DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE:

The moral versus the business imperative

It is important that our places of work reflect the diverse cities in which we live. Sadly, that is still not the case everywhere in Birmingham despite the many reports and recommendations that seek to promote greater diversity and inclusion. In this well-timed talk during Black History Month, Dawn will explore some of the challenges in this area.

Our work environments are making decisions that will invariably affect people of all ethnicities, religions, abilities and sexuality. How can I champion greater diversity at work?

Looking at the moral imperative, 1 Corinthians 12 and 13 reminds us of the importance of unity and diversity and the gift of love. How should this look in our places of work? And what about the business imperative… Is it one or the other?
